You Couldn't Keep Watch For One Hour?

Matthew 26:40, "And He *came to the disciples and *found them SLEEPING, and *said to Peter, “So, you men could not keep WATCH WITH ME for one hour?" ~ (NASB)

Have you ever been woken in the middle of the night? Or maybe worry keeps you up some nights? There are many reasons why we get TIRED, or even EXHAUSTED. Sometimes we are just so BUSY we are WARN OUT. Other times it might be the STRESS we're under. Also there is the emotional STRESS in situations that can EXHAUST us. Maybe you've experienced some of these recently?

Note that Jesus had asked these disciples to "keep WATCH." What has God asked you to WATCH? By the way, Jesus equates WATCHING with PRAYING. Your eyes can only see the PHYSICAL, but with Spiritual Vision you see ALL the dimensions. Thus WATCH is EQUATED with PRAYER!

LACK of SLEEPING or ANXIETY indicates we are NOT KEEPING WATCH.

CASTING ALL your ANXIETY on Him, because He CARES for you. - 1Peter 5:7 (NASB)

This verse is your SLEEPING PILL of the PEACE of God. Let us all purpose to keep WATCH, to PRAY every day and by so doing we will NEVER hear Jesus say to us, "You Couldn't Keep Watch For One Hour?”

He also served as Pastor of Family Ministries at a local church in East Tennessee.

Since then, Pastor Ted has continued to serve God's people in many ways such as marriage counseling, mentoring and teaching the Word of God every chance he gets. Recently, Pastor Ted answered God's latest calling by writing down the principles he's been taught and publishing his first book, The Principles of God, Vol. 1.
